User Guide for the Password Generator PWA
This guide will help you use the Password Generator PWA (by Ufumbuzi) to build the foundations of your "digital fortress".
How to Generate a Robust Password
The tool is designed to be intuitive and allow you to create strong keys that protect your most valuable data. Follow these steps based on the app interface:
- Define Password Length: Use the "Password Length" slider to select the number of characters.
Recommendation: Aim for at least 12 characters, though more is ideally better.
- Select Character Diversity: To ensure your password is technically robust, make sure to check the boxes to include a mix of:
- Uppercase (A-Z)
- Lowercase (a-z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- Symbols (!@#$%)
- Generate the Password: Click the central "Generate Password" button. Your new key will instantly appear in the top box.
- Verify Strength: Look at the "Password Strength" bar below the generated password. It provides a visual indicator of how secure the combination is.
- Copy and Use: Click the blue copy icon next to the password to copy it to your clipboard for use in your accounts.
Best Practices for Your "Digital Fortress"
- Use a Password Manager: Store your complex passwords in an encrypted tool so you don't have to memorize them all. You can also encrypt your passwords and store them in encrypted form using the ufumbuzi tool:
👉 Encryptor / Decryptor
- Don't Reuse Passwords: Avoid using the same password for multiple accounts. If one is compromised, all others are at risk.
- Enable 2FA: Activate Two-Factor Authentication whenever possible as an extra layer of defense.
- Avoid Public Wi-Fi: Do not enter sensitive information on unsecured networks. Consider using a VPN for added security.
